Gail E. Cobb

Gail Elizabeth Greenup Couch Cobb was born to Floyd and Frances Greenup on a farm east of Valley Center on April 18, 1931. She enjoyed being raised on the farm, alongside her sisters (Louise and Janice) and her brother (Herbert). Some of her favorite years were spent teaching high school biology, teaching preschool, and directing and teaching a multitude of church programs, but her favorite role of all was being a Mother and Grandma to many. She spent countless hours watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren at the swimming pool, various sports activities and music programs. Gail was very thankful to God for a "long life, a book with many great chapters. The central theme was her wonderful family and her love for the Lord and His creation."

Gail was preceded in death by her husband (Lyle Couch), husband (Leslie Cobb), father (Floyd Greenup), mother (Frances Greenup), sister (Louise Greenup), sister (Janice Carter), granddaughter (Ashlie Kempf), and great grandson (Michael Smith).

Survived by children: Rhonda (Ron) Turner, Cheryl Couch, Kyle (Kim) Couch, Alayna (Rob) Kempf, Frank (Jeannine) Cobb, Carolyn (Clark) Shultz, Steve Cobb, Dennis (Dale Jackson) Cobb, and Gary Cobb. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Public viewing will take place from 5:00PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7th at Smith Family Mortuary 501 SE Blvd. Mulvane, KS 67110 and Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 8th at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church 1020 N 2nd Ave, Mulvane, KS 67110.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Gail Cobb can be made to First Baptist Church Mulvane (1020 N. 2nd Ave, Mulvane, KS 67110)

Interment will take place in Helena, Oklahoma at a later date.
