G. Wayne Dowers, age 93, passed away October 13, 2015. Visitation 1-8pm, Friday, family greeting 4-6pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road. Funeral Service 2pm Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Rose Hill Bible Church, 1410 N. Main, Rose Hill. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, George and Saloma Pearl Dowers; first wife, Lela Dowers; son, Gary Dowers; son-in-law, Dale Harper; grandson, Leon Harman; 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Frances; children, Connie Harper, Merrill Dowers; step-children, Keith Harman, Benjamin Harman and his wife; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sisters, Lucille Riffel, Avanell (Gene) Long; and a loving extended family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is set with the Rose Hill Bible Church missions’ fund.
