Hladik, Frank J., 91, retired Boeing sheet metal worker, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013. Visitation 1-8 Sunday; funeral service 2 pm Monday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Frank was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor, and was also present when the documents were signed to end World War II. He was an avid golfer, and worked at Boeing for over 40 years. Preceded in death by wife Ledora Hladik; children Bert Fox and Flora Faye Calvert. Survived by grandchildren Marsha (Tony), Judy, Dode (Greg), Melinda (Kris), Janice, Karen, and Bert; 16 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Catholic Care Center, 6700 E 45th St N., Wichita, KS 67226, and Rivercross Hospice, 251 S Whittier St Wichita, KS 67207.
