Frances (Balding) McKay, of Wichita, age 83, passed away at home surrounded by family, Saturday, April 21, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Monday, April 23, 2012, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 10 AM Tuesday, April 24, 2012,at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1356 N Broadway. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Frances was born October 29, 1928, in Texarkana, TX, to James R. & Corrine Balding. She graduated from North High, attended Wichita State, and had a radio show, “Songs by Frances Balding.” Frances married Harold D. McKay, August 7, 1949, in Wichita. She sang at the VA Hospital for 65 years, and with the Choral Arts Society, Wichita Choral Society, Melodears and as a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, she sang in choir all of her life. She was a realtor for 45 years. Survivors: husband of 62 years, Harold; sons, Ralph (Nancy) McKay and Dan McKay; daughter, Jovonne (Richard) Jones; sisters,Marjorie Thomas, Mattie Jo Savute, Vonola Ferguson; and five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents and brother Lewis. Memorial donations to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice,
