Floyd Rockenbach

Floyd M. “Rocky” Rockenbach, 78, retired English teacher, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014. He was born June 27, 1936 in Thomas, Oklahoma to Elmer and Lucille Corl Rockenbach. Rocky served in the United States Marine Corps. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lucille; sister, Doris; son, Matt. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Norma; children, Tami Jacobs of Tampa, FL; Terry Lee Rockenbach of New Orleans, LA; Mark Colby of Derby; 3 grandchildren. VIewing: 2-8pm Thursday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby with family greeting friends from 6-8pm. Funeral service: 10am Friday, September 26, 2014, Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 South Woodlawn, Derby. Burial in El Paso Cemetery, Derby with military honors conducted by the United States Marine Honor Guard.
