Florene D. Scarbrough

Scarbrough, Florene D., 67, passed away February 20, 2013. Visitation 1-8 p.m. Tuesday; funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Florene was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Cook, and two brothers, Bill and Skeeter. Survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, John; daughter Brenda Mattix, Haysville; grandson John Franklin Whalen, Arkansas City; granddaughter Sherry LeAnn Mattix, Wichita; great grandchildren Azlynn and Erin Whalen, and Chloe Sophia Bergen (due any day!); brothers Fred Cook, Springfield, MO; and George (DeeAnn) Cook, Wichita.
