Wichita - Johnson, F. Raymond
71, passed away Sunday, July 14th, 2024. He was born August 3, 1952, to Chester and Helen Johnson in Kansas City, Missouri.
Raymond graduated from Douglass High School in 1971 and went to work for Hawker Beechcraft. Working hard, being reliable, and accountable was important to Raymond. He held several different positions while employed, from buffer to crew lead. During his 42 years of employment, he received a 25-year watch, 40-year plaque, a leather jacket, and a diamond ring. Raymond also enjoyed collecting coins, black powder guns, playing pool, bowling and playing video games. He loved listening to Elvis, Reba McIntire, and bible scripture. Above all, he loved his children, and his children loved him.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Shaw and Joyce Frost; brother, Eddie Johnson; and parents.
Raymond is survived by his children, Katherine (Robert) Herd, Joshua (Stephanie) Johnson, and Brandon (Sarah) Johnson; grandchildren, Mikayla, Mallory (Geno), Tyler, Cody, Blake, Jayce, Kaylee, Alexys, Raeann, Sierra; great-grandchildren, Liam, Layton, Amelia, Mateo, Gio; siblings, Chet Johnson, Robert Johnson.
Visitation: Monday, July 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church 431 S. Woodlawn Blvd. Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Raymond always had a loving caring heart and would help anyone he could. His final wish was to donate his organs. He will continue to help 60 people live a “better” life.
