Everett "Lucky" Jessie Fuson, age 95, was born February 17, 1920, in Lyons, KS, the son of Jesse and Ruth (Buckbee) Fuson. He graduated from Claflin High School in Claflin, KS in 1939, and married Christine Huff of Claflin on August 30, 1941. During WWII he served in the Navy, and was stationed at Alameda Naval Air Station in California. He worked at Cessna (Pawnee Plant) for 44 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Mulvane United Methodist Church, Mulvane Masonic Lodge, Mulvane Lions Club, and Mulvane Senior Center where he enjoyed his yoga class and socializing with many friends. Everett loved fishing, camping, and spending time at the cabin that he and Christine built near Del Norte, CO, and wintering in south Texas for many years. Christine, his beloved wife of 58 years, died March 18, 1999. Their daughter-in-law, Kathleen Bedner, died May 22, 2007. Survivors include a son, Roger Fuson of Anchorage, AK; twin daughters and their husbands, Jean and Byron Hedstrom of Mulvane, and Janet and Brent Chapman of South Fork, CO; grandchildren: Lynnea King (Kyle), Gretchen Cates (Craig), Todd Hedstrom (Darla), Renae Scott (Mike), and Angie Gibson (Duncan); great-grandchildren: Dev and Tiernan King; Mackenzie, Gillian, Archer, and Ireland Cates; Anna, Mark, and Megan Hedstrom; Lucas and Taylor Scott; and Waverly Gibson; sister, Pauline Deen of Oklahoma City, and several nieces and nephews who were very dear to him. Funeral 2pm Friday, November 27th at Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Mulvane United Methodist Church and Mulvane Senior Center.
