Evelyn Pearl Leedy

Evelyn Pearl (Peterson)Leedy, of Douglass, entered the arms of Jesus on January 29, 2015. Visitation 1 to 8 pm Tuesday, February 3, 2015, Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, Douglass. Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, First Baptist Church, Douglass. Evelyn was born on March 27, 1926, the daughter of Theodore and Dulcie (Laman) Peterson. She dedicated her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, aunt and grandmother. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Vernon, Bob and Morris Peterson. She is survived by: husband of 51 years, Gene Leedy; sons, Dallas (Patricia) McLeod, Teddy McLeod all of Wichita; daughter, Dana (David) Caldwell, of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Tim (Angie) McLeod, Sherri Wade, both of Wichita, Kembrew (Lynne) McLeod, of Iowa City, IA, Jennifer (Clay) Snow, of Kingwood, TX, Jeffrey Rector, of Baton Rouge, LA; great-grandchildren, Tanner Cole, Taylor, Emma McLeod, Tara, Paige, Brooke Wade, Sara, Megan, William Snow, Alastair McLeod, and Emily Rector; sister, Maxine Latimer, of Wichita. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Douglass.
