Evelyn G. Combs

Combs, Evelyn G. “Sis; Evie” 81, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away August 6, 2010 surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. She was born April 17, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of the late William J. and Opal H. (Shaffer) Combs. She is survived by one brother, John (Marge) Combs of Saginaw, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Harriet Combs and special friend Jeff Richardson and his family, all of Saginaw, Michigan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers William B. Combs and James A. Combs. Evelyn had a passion for reading, cooking and baking. She had a generous nature, big heart and loved to take care of others. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the medical professionals, including Hospice Care of Kansas that lovingly attended to Evelyn and showed her the dignity, care and grace she deserved. Evelyn has requested cremation with no service. Arrangements with Smith Mortuary, Haysville.
