Evelyn Faye Clark, age 91, loving wife and mother, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015. Visitation 1-8 pm Thursday, with family receiving friends 6-8 pm, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 1 PM Friday, January 30, 2015, Kechi United Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61th St. N., Kechi. Evelyn was born October 6, 1923 in Ransom to Henry and Katherine Ummel. She graduated high school from Arnold High School. She then went on to get her teaching degree and taught in the WaKeeney school system for several years. Evelyn was married to George K. Clark on May 6, 1944. They lived on their farm in Western Kansas for several years before making their permanent home in Wichita. Evelyn devoted her life to her family and friends, and was an active member at the Kechi United Methodist Church. Her love for the piano and organ gave way to teaching several children to play the piano, but her favorite student was her granddaughter, Natalie, whom she introduced to the piano at the age of 3. She loved making beautiful quilts, many of which she shared with her very lucky family. Being with her family and friends were her special pleasures. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, her parents; brother, Ralph Ummel; and a sister, Phyllis Flaherty. Survivors: son, Kevin Clark (Susan), of Wichita; daughters, Linda Dreyer (Larry), Darla Dauffenbach (Brad), all of Wichita; brothers, Don, Ken and Marvin Ummel; sisters, Millie Fink and Eunice Ummel; grandchildren, Natalie Clark, Bryan and Chris Dreyer, Brett and Matt Dauffenbach; 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Kechi United Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61st St. N., Kechi, Ks 67067
