Eunice Marie Pulver

Eunice Marie Pulver was born on May 14, 1936, in Jett, Oklahoma, to Ewell and Opal (Nimmo) Dunsworth. She passed away on May 29, 2026, in Derby, Kansas.

Eunice was proud of her Oklahoma heritage, growing up on the farm near Jett, Oklahoma, and the Salt Plains. Eunice told of how she rode her pony around the farm and even to school at times, as she was growing on their Dunsworth farm.

Soon however the Dunsworth family moved to northwest Wichita, where Eunice's dad, Ewell, became part of the aircraft industry, and likewise her older brothers also became part of the aircraft industry. Eunice completed her early schooling in Maize, Kansas, and then traveled by bus to North High School in Wichita, Kansas, as Maize did not have a high school at that time.

Eunice furthered her education at Friends University from 1954 to 1958 and again in 1986, where she learned many of her secretarial skills. Eunice worked as a secretary for many companies in and around the Wichita area.

Eunice was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her cats, her knitting, and life itself. When recently asked if she loved Jesus, she replied, "I love everybody."

Edie and Troy considered her to be the perfect wife for their dad, Roy. She was a kind and gentle spirit, she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Eunice is survived by her stepchildren, Troy (Joy) Pulver, Edie Vogt, and Frankie (Jeff) Bolander; her many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Pulver; her parents, Ewell and Opal Dunsworth; her brothers, Ewell Dunsworth, William Dunsworth, Ivan Dunsworth and Larry Dunsworth.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas.

Also a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, 2:00 PM at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, Kansas.

Private burial will follow at Friends Cemetery.
