Eugene Searcy

Searcy, Eugene “Gene”, 91, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014. He was born May 26, 1922 to Herbert and Hattie Belle (Pierce) Searcy in Commerce, OK. He retired from Boeing after 35 years of service as a Flight Line Electrician. Gene graduated from the Wichita Business College with a degree in Business and attained a Master’s License in Heating and Air Conditioning. He started and ran Gene’s Heating and Air, which was highly respected in the Mulvane, Belle Plaine, and Wichita areas, up into his eighties. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geneva (Botts) Searcy; and siblings, Norman, Herbert “Hank”, and Imogene. Gene is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Bond; granddaughter, Ginger (Rob) Roach; great-grandchildren, Whitney Roach and Ryan Roach; and niece, Janice Linn. Funeral: 1 pm, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Countryside Christian Church, with visitation 1 hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S.
