Cox, Ethel Mae, 94, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. Visitation 1-8 pm (family present 6:30-8), Thursday, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, Rose Hill United Methodist Church, 19551 Southwest Butler Road. Preceded in death by husband Shorty Cox, parents Edward and Gertrude Dill, son Merrill Cox, son-in-law Ray Royal, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. Survived by three daughters, Karen Royal, Cheryl (Steve) Carr, Shelly (Matt) Bates; sister Elva Webster; grandchildren Brett (Angie) Carr, Travis Carr, Erin (Frank) Hamell, Ryan (Kristin) Bates, Brandon (Jenny Tarwater) Bates, Whitney Jo Bates, Alexandra Cox; and six great-grandchildren.
