Ethel M. Brees

Ethel Brees, 88, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011. Visitation 2-8 Sunday at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at Maize United Methodist Church, 208 E. Central, Maize. Ethel was very active in her home church, Maize UMC, and was the Vice President of Young at Heart Club. She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Brees and her brother Orville Sullivan. Survivors include her children Mike Kirk and his wife Christa, Marilyn Leonard and her husband Jerry, Jim Kirk and his wife Karin, Gary Kirk and his wife Pam; sister Anita Garrison; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202, and Maize United Methodist Church.
