Esther Lea Michael, age 74, of Haysville, loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Visitation 1-8 PM Monday, July 18, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway. Funeral service 10 AM Tuesday, July 19, Glenville Bible Baptist Church, 4604 S. Seneca, Wichita. Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Jake & Mabel Shellhammer and a brother, Lynn Shellhammer. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey (Cathy) of Wichita; daughters, Scarlett Bowles (Jim) of Columbus, KS, and Beth Michael of Haysville; sister, Bobbye Williams (Rex) of Haysville; grandchildren, Courtney Schofield (Devon), Ethan Mattocks, Samuel Mottocks and Jacob Bowles; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Oliver; and her constant companions, Chowder, Sammy and Benny.
