Ernest Ray Dorsey, age 83, of Derby, retired Haysville USD 261 employee, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Visitation 1-8 Thursday, with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Funeral service 10 AM Friday, August 29th, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, James & Adelia Dorsey, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carol; daughters, Sherry Murray, Wichita, Shelly Adams, Maize, and Breena Stucker (Troy), Raymore, MO; grandchildren, Lacey, Tyler, Collin, Sydnee, Makenzie and Taryn; great-grandchildren, Braedin, Spencer and Logan.
