Emily A. Kelly, 90, of Wichita, died January 28, 2015 at the Derby home of her daughter, with care from Good Shepherd Hospice. Visitation 1-8 PM Thursday, February 5, with family receiving friends 4-7 PM, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Graveside service 10:30 AM Friday, February 6, Resthaven Cemetery. Emily was born April 28, 1924 and was adopted shortly after birth by Frederick & Emily Wiles, of Blackwell, OK. A graduate of the University of Missouri, she worked at KFH Radio and later edited the International Flying Farmers magazine. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church, 60-plus year PEO member and charter member of Chapter GE. An avid bridge player, Emily enjoyed entertainment ranging from Music Theater to Cabaret, the Wichita Symphony to the Melodrama, dancing and occasional trips to the casino, and never missed a chance to laugh out loud. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Kelly, daughter, Kathleen D. Kelly, and brother, Bill Wiles. Survivors include daughters, Candace K. (Stuart) Parks, Raleigh, NC, Connie (Bradley) Kiewel, Derby, and Kristin C. Kelly, Snohomish, WA; grandchildren, Kathleen A. (Dr. Shawn) Pomeroy, and children, Samuel, Calvin and Claire, Wichita; Meredith (Bobby) Jones, and children, Bowen and Brock, Boone, NC; Allison Parks, Raleigh; Cameron Turner, Bothell, WA; step-grandchildren, Jonathan (Sandra) Kiewel and children, Trinity and Jonathan, Jr., Mulvane; Timothy Kiewel; Daniel Kiewel, and children, Emryana and Sophia, all of Wichita.
