Elizabeth Schwartz

Schwartz, Elizabeth “Betty”, 89, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was born May 10, 1925 to Melvin and Mary (Colburn) Brace in Rose Hill, KS. Elizabeth retired as a cosmetologist. She was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Garold Schwartz; grandson, Michael Todd Morris; and brothers, Earl, Rex, John, Marvin, and Ralph Brace. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Marilyn “Jo” (Henry) Prater, Wayne (Cathy) Schwartz, and Stephan (Ronda) Schwartz; siblings, Esther Ashton and Robert Brace; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. Visitation: Thursday, 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm. Funeral: 10 am, Friday, March 27, 2015; both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at El Paso Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
