Elisabeth Lessor, age 89, of Mulvane, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026.
Elisabeth was born on February 14, 1937, in Germany, where she grew up during and in the aftermath of World War II. The experiences of those early years helped shape the strength, resilience, and determination that characterized her throughout her life.
While living in Germany, Elisabeth met the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Lessor, who was serving in the United States Air Force. Together they embarked on a life filled with adventure, travel, and devotion to family. During Chuck's military career, they lived in Great Bend, Kansas; Roswell, New Mexico; Charleston, South Carolina; Duluth, Minnesota; and numerous locations in Germany before eventually making their home in Mulvane, Kansas, where Chuck retired from military service.
Elisabeth had an artistic flair and an eye for beauty. She took great pride in creating a warm and elegant home, carefully furnishing and decorating each place she lived. Known for her sense of style, she enjoyed dressing well, fine dining, travel, and experiencing new places.
Above all, Elisabeth loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose strength, warmth, and presence enriched the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles "Chuck" Lessor; her son, Aribert Stay; her son-in-law, Helmut Scherer; her mother, Elisabeth Plitt; her father, Karl Feldheiser III; her brother, Klaus Feldheiser; and her sister, Gertrude Klein.
She is survived by her daughter, Karola Scherer; her son, Mark Lessor and his wife, Jean; her daughter-in-law, Helga Stay; and her grandchildren, Marco Scherer, Lucas Stay, and Melanie Speyer. She also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will treasure her memory.
