Elgie Braswell, 89, passed away on September 1, 2025, in Derby, KS.
Elgie is survived by his children, Lela (Keith) Albright of Mulvane, KS; Peggy Marrs of Mulvane, KS; Arlene (Kenneth) Thomas of Derby, KS; son-in-law, Kerry Gibson of Derby, KS; and sister, Louise Grindstaff of Minthill, NC; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, with one on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Elgie was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Braswell; son, Clyde Braswell and daughter, Rhonda Gibson; parents, Joseph and Lela Braswell of North Carolina; siblings, Evelyn Moss of North Carolina, Jack Braswell of North Carolina, and Henry Braswell of North Carolina.
The service for Elgie Braswell will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Smith Family Mortuaries 1415 N. Rock Rd. Derby, KS 67037
Visitation: Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Smith Family Mortuaries 1415 N. Rock RD, Derby, KS 67037
Burial: Mulvane Cemetery
