Edward Curtis “Curt” Poole slipped peacefully from this world to the next on June 6, 2021, with the love of his life by his side after a short battle with cancer.
Born October 18, 1954, to Marian and Eugene Poole, Curt likely came into this world with a guitar in his hands. He spent the next 66 years making music and many friends along the way.
Curt is survived by his wife Terri, Son Jared Poole, Daughter Jennifer White, granddaughters Brynnan and Hadley, Son Justin Poole, Daughter-in-Law Alandrea, Grandson Finnegan and Granddaughter Scottie, Daughter Jessica Bailey, grandsons Kyler and Weston, Sister Jeannie Poole, Sister Mary Hyde, nephew Carl Appleman, great nephew Theo, great niece Eloise, Sister Cathy Morris, Brother-in-Law Brant and nephew Nathan. And many other in-laws, outlaws and bandmates.
Curt served in the US Navy and worked for IBM for 26 years before taking an early retirement and beginning a second career at Spirit Aerosystems in 2007.
Curt had the brain of an engineer and the heart of a musician. He was best known for his elaborate plans on how to tackle any problem, hours of playing the same section of a song over and over again until he had it figured out, dumb dad jokes and his deep love for Jesus, his friends and family.
Because of the kindness shown to him in his last days, a memorial donation can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at https://www.hynesmemorial.org/donate/.
And because of his love for music, a donation to support musicians struggling to pay for health care needs can be made to the PAT Fund at https://www.patfund.net/donate-now
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
