Edna M. Rohr

Edna M. Rohr of Derby, 82, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 28, 1932 in Antonino, KS to Reinhold and Josephine (Kuhn) Herrman. Edna married Alfred Rohr on November 11, 1954. She enjoyed visiting the ocean in New Jersey during the 16 years that they lived in Pennsylvania. After moving back to Kansas, Edna’s life centered around her family. She loved to cook, was a devoted member of St. Mary Parish, and was very proud of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments in school and sports. Edna lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Elmer, Orval, Donald, and Reinhold, Jr. Edna is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alfred Rohr; children, Denise (Tony) Molla of Leesburg, VA, Frank (Elaine) Rohr, Steven (Mandy) Rohr, and James (Hazel) Rohr, all of Derby, KS; siblings, Cyrill Herrman, Lester Herrman, Roy Herrman, Leon Herrman, Carol Danielson, Linda Mayberry, and Doris Winslow; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Wednesday, 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Rosary: 10 am, Thursday, July 9, 2015 followed by Mass of a Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Faith Center.
