Earl Russell “Dutch” Howell, of Wichita, went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 27, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Thursday, August 30 with family receiving friends 5-7 PM, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, August 31, at First Baptist Church, 125 S. Delos, Haysville. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Oatville. He and his twin brother, Merrill, were the youngest of four sets of twins and the youngest of 15 children of James and Charlotte Howell. He served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. After his release from the service he returned to Wichita. He spent the major part of his adult life working in the aircraft and related industries. He retired from Cessna Aircraft Co., March 31, 1995. On April 14, 1979, he was united in marriage to Faye Marshall. Through this marriage, he became father to 2 stepdaughters and grandfather to 4 grandchildren and later 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Charlotte; all of his siblings, 7 brothers, 5 sisters and 3 stepbrothers. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Faye; stepdaughters, Joyce (Don) Grams, Haysville, Connie Hopkins, Winfield; grandchildren, Misti Miller, Chad (Tierney) Hopkins, Amy (Eli) Bruner and Jessica (Wes) Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Jordon, Jacob and Mariah Miller, Layke, Chloe and Addison Hoffman, Treyten and Paycie Hopkins, Andrew, Noah and Levi Bruner; his twin brother’s children, Mike (Tammy) Roby, Susan (Norman) Bullinger, Carol (Raymond) Pinkerton, Patricia (David) Randall; many other nieces and nephews, including Linda Pearce.
