Earl Stanley Burke

Earl Stanley Burke, age 89, WWII Veteran and retired Beech Aircraft machinist, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Thursday with family present 5-7 PM, funeral service 2 PM Friday, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Earl is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; father, Monroe Burke; mother and stepfather, Melvina & Robert Burrell; sons, Gary and Stanley; brothers, Alfred and Edwin; and sister, Evelynn Potochnik. Survivors: special friend, Gudula Gros, of Wichita; sons, Alan (Susan), Daniel (Cheryl), Kevin (Cindy), all of Wichita, and Douglas (Linda), Mesa, AZ; daughters, Lori (Robert) Hess, Tina (Albert) Ward, all of Wichita, and Sheila Skaggs, of Hutchinson; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with The Wichita Children’s Home, 810 N Holyoke, Wichita, KS 67208.
