ROSE HILL – Cox, Altus Dwight, age 80, retired farmer and retired Vulcan Chemical employee, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012. Visitation 1-8 PM Sunday, funeral service 2 PM Monday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. He was born June 19, 1931 at Robinson, IL to Altus & Belva (Correll) Cox. He married Connie J. Burchfiel, August 3, 1957 in Wichita, KS. Dwight is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Scaggs, brothers, Herschel and David; and sister, Dottie. Survivors: wife, Connie; son, Randy, Rose Hill; sisters, Catherine (Robert) Garrard, Claremore, OK; Martha (Wilburn) Harden, Joplin, MO, Mary (Duane) Sample, Carrolton, TX; grandchildren, Aimee (Henrik) Ehrs, Aric, (Jill) Cox, Brett, Bethany and Christopher Cox, Matthew and Rachel Scaggs; great-grandchildren, Glynnis, Emma and Cora.
