Doug Pitcher

Douglas James "Doug" Pitcher died, Aug. 10, 2022 at 55 years of age, after a hard fought battle with cancer, He was born July 21, 1967 in Wichita, KS. After graduating from Goddard High School, he worked his entire adult life at Learjet as a Flight Ramp Technician for 35 years. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family.

He leaves behind his wife and soulmate of 31 years Christy Pitcher ( Chrisman), their two sons Dylan and Chase Pitcher, sisters Janice (Phil) Dumont and Karen Mott, and aunt Tommie Mertz. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Carolyn Pitcher.

Although taken from us too soon, all who knew Doug were blessed by his kind and loyal heart, hard-working hands, and quirky sense of humor. His ability to make up funny songs will be sorely missed but his songs will live on in infamy.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday. Aug. 17, 2022 at the Smith Family Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Road Derby, KS 67037.
