Douglas Allen Nuzum

Douglas Allen Nuzum, age 59, of Derby, Spirit employee and former Boeing employee, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012. Visitation 2-8 PM Sunday with family receiving friends 6-8 PM, funeral service 10 AM Monday, March 5, 2012, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Graveside service 3 PM Monday, Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Ft. Scott. He was born October 18, 1952 at Manhattan, KS to Daniel Clarence and Elizabeth Pearl (Ruby) Nuzum. He married Sandra Lee Watt November 21, 1972 at Mound City, KS. Douglas is preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria, and his parents, Daniel & Elizabeth Nuzum. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Sandy; daughters, Ericka (Jean Claude) Suhl – Clarksville, TN, and Angela Nuzum, Wichita; brothers, Darren (Darla) Nuzum, Wichita, Duane (Diana) Nuzum, Douglass; sister, Diana (David) Brooks, Wichita; grandson, Otto Suhl. A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211.
