Doug Berkowitz

Berkowitz, Douglas Malcolm,79, passed away Monday, May 23rd, 2022. He was born September 18th, 1942 to Harold Berkowitz and Sylvia Berkowitz in Yonkers, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Sylvia, step -children Joseph & Matthew Paxton. Doug is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marleta (Kitterman) Berkowitz, daughter, Donna Berkowitz of Wichita, brother Barry (Linda) Berkowitz of Virginia. Step-children Donny Paxton, Tommy (Carolyn) Paxton all of Wichita. 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Doug was a proud Vietnam Marine veteran and then enlisted in the US Air Force retiring as a Staff Sgt., serving as the Manager of the McConnell Air Force Base Officers Club for many years, he also retired from Boeing. After retirements Doug started substitute teaching, he shared with Marleta how he had missed his calling as he loved his students and he was well liked by them. Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 at Derby Church of the Nazarene 840 N. Woodlawn Derby, KS 67037.
