Dorothy Jean Potter

Dorothy Jean Potter, age 92, of Wichita, retired USD 259 employee, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023. Visitation 1-5 pm Sunday, November 26, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 10 am Monday, November 27, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1356 N. Broadway, Wichita. Graveside service and interment 2 pm Monday, Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence, KS. Dorothy was born September 2, 1931, in Eldorado, KS to William and Myrtle (Hogoboom) Nunns. She and Leonard Potter were united in marriage, November 15, 1974, in Wichita. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents, and her son, Darin Pruitt. Survivors include her sons, Michael Pruitt and wife, Melody, Tony Pruitt and wife, Vickie, Darrell Pruitt and wife, Connie; daughters, Jena Batemon, Penny Ferris and husband, John, Dee Pruitt; sister, Nelly Franklin and husband, Fred; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and severa; nieces and nephews.
