Dorothy Mae Myrick, (Bell), age 90, passed away June 1, 2012. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as a retired Edo Aire (Wichita, KS) dial painter and she was lovingly called “Nanny” by most of her family members. Dorothy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ron and Lana Spurlock, of Wichita; granddaughters, Michelle, and husband, Steve Hoover, of Haysville, Denise Spurlock, of Wichita, and Christina Noel Myrick. Dorothy is also survived by her four great-granddaughters, Cayla, Ciara, Camry and Corri Hoover, of Haysville; and by many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Flonnie & Andy Bell; her son, William Earl “Billy” Myrick, her sister, Virdie (Bell) Patterson; brothers, William A “Bill” Bell and Virgil Ray Bell. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dorothy’s life at the visitation 1-8 PM Friday, June 8, 2012, with family receiving friends 6-8 PM, Smith Mortuary 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Dorothy’s funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Glenville Bible Church, 4604 S. Seneca, Wichita. Burial services will follow at the Leon, KS Cemetery.
