Dorothy M. Johnson, 87, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017. She was born October 28, 1930 to Thomas and Mattie Noggle in Lone Elm, KS. She graduated from Fort Scott Jr. College with an Associate's Degree in Business. Dorothy was a hard worker. She became a beautician, worked as a realtor, and retired from the Kansas Drivers License Bureau. Dorothy had many hobbies including art, gardening. She had a love for nature and learning, including teaching herself to play the organ. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Dorothy married Richard Johnson on April 6, 1981 and was married 36 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ollebelle and Arlene. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Richard; step-children, Kathy, Keith, and Kelly Johnson; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation: Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 1 to 8 pm, with family present between 5 & 7 pm. Funeral: 1:30 pm, Friday, November 3, 2017 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, KS 67213. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 2801 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203.
