Dorothy Rae Crays

Dorothy Rae (Darling) Crays, 84, was born June 8, 1936 in Alva, OK and passed away April 10, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Harold Crays, Jr (deceased) for 56 years and the most beloved mother to five children: Carolyn Van Santen (Chuck), Marilyn Gilstrap (Kevin), Debra Masur (Rick), Lori Barrett (Brian), and preceded in death by son Joseph Rae; and the joyous grandmother to Brandon, Haylea, Peyton, Caitlin, Spencer and Natalie. Dorothy is also survived by sisters, Jean Turner and Mary Rhodes and many nieces and nephews. She lived her life in service to God and was a lifelong member of the church of Christ. She was a tax accountant for 51 years at Tax Wise; Past “Woman of the Year” for ABWA; and member of Toast Masters. Dorothy was a master seamstress and loved to read. We look forward to our reunion with her in heaven. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 15 and Funeral Service 2:00 pm Friday, April 16, 2021, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N Rock Rd, Derby.
