Doris D. Ives

Doris D. Ives was born August 27, 1938 in Lawrence County, Alabama to William and Sindy Bishop Prater. She went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the age of 76 years. Doris worked for USD 261 as a cafeteria worker for years before her retirement. Survivors include her husband, Clifford; daughter Deirdre Vickers and her husband Rev. Jerrod Vickers of Wichita; son, Donald Ives of Overland Park; grandchildren, Kali Vickers, Zane Vickers and Jonas Vickers; brothers, Hoyt Prater and Jack Prater of Alabama and sister, Bonnie Coburn of Alabama. Viewing will be Monday, January 19, 2015 from 2-8pm at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. The family will be present to greet friends from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 E. Harry, Wichita. A memorial is established with Cross Point Youth Department. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wichita.
