Donna Wells

January 14, 1958 — December 28, 2022

Donna was born on January 14, 1958, in Wichita Kansas to James and Edith Kennedy. She was the

middle of three children and the mother of six.

Donna was a caregiver throughout her adult life. She ran her own daycare as well as took care of all her kid’s

friends. After her children were grown Donna began doing home health care for the elderly. Donna loved

going camping, fishing, and cooking over the campfire. She enjoyed working in the yard and fixing things

around the house. All of Donna’s down time was spent watching her kids and eventually her grandkids play

sports. While Donna had many titles in life, her favorite one was wife. Donna and Carl were married for forty

years when she passed.

Donna was diagnosed with lung cancer in August of 2020. She battled until the end, never losing her faith in

God. She looked forward to being reunited with her family and friends that God had already called home.

She is preceded in death by both parents, James and Edith Kennedy, her brother Doug Kennedy, her Daughter

Autumn Bohannon and son Tyson Wells. She is survived by her Husband Carl E. Wells of Douglass, sister

Connie Smith and husband of Emporia, son Damian Wells of Wichita, daughters Amber Braddy and husband of

Ward Arkansas, Echo Nevarez and husband of Wichita, and Rian Bascombe and husband of Augusta. As well as
