Donna June Guinn

Guinn, Donna June, 85, passed away on October 16, 2026. She was born on April 27, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas.

Donna's family lived in Mulvane Kansas where she met and married her highschool sweetheart Leonard. Leonard joined the Air Force and they started their journey. They lived in Arkansas, Texas, Hawaii, Montana and finally landed in Alaska where they ended up retiring. They lived in Alaska for over 30 years and she never did like the cold weather! She worked at JCPenney for a few years but her true love was sewing and quilting.

After her husband passed in 2008 she moved to Texas where her youngest son Carl and his family lived; this is where she joined a guild and ended up going on several cruises with her new guild friends. She traveled back to Wichita KS in 2015 moving into Grassland Estates Senior Community and continued sewing and quilting. Five years later she transitioned to Brookdale Assisted Living and still continued sewing as long as she could. After a couple years she moved in with Aaron and his family. Even though her fingers wouldn't allow her to sew any longer she still kept all her supplies by her side. She loved watching murder mysteries and British crime series until her last days.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Guinn; sons, Ricky Guinn, Carl Guinn; and brother Mike Cain.

Donna is survived by her son, Aaron(Benita) Guinn, Carl's widow Ilene Guinn;

grandchildren, Amanda Guinn, Misty Smith, Melissa Bonds, Treasure Jones, Travis(Emilee) Guinn, Toni Guinn, Patrick Guinn, Ethen Guinn;

great grandchildren, Koda(Kay), Ashleigh, Tijuana, Triston(Lexi), Amir(JayLynn), Dalton(Trudy), Jordan, Tyler, Kaidin, Bentlee, Shevi, Kassidy;

great-great grandchildren, Avina, Ezra, Gabriel, Sophia, Giovanni, Kairo, Ariella. And many more extended family members.

Donna requested to be cremated and her remains scattered in the ocean. A memorial service will be announced at a later date/time.
