Donna Durbin

We are deeply sad to announce the passing of Donna Jacqueline Durbin. Donna was the beloved wife of Clayton Durbin, mother of Kathleen (David) Greger, David Durbin, Daniel Durbin and Sharon (Henry) Durbin, grandmother of nine and great grandmother of eight. She was born February 28, 1938, and passed away on December 18, 2024. Donna lived her early years in the Los Angeles area and then in Hayward, California and always kept a fondness for the ocean and the redwood forests of California. She was loved by Clayton from the moment he saw her walking across the campus of East Los Angeles Junior College when she was just 17. Throughout her life, Donna focused most of her energies on raising her four children and being an active pastor’s wife in a number of Baptist churches. All would agree she was the mainstay of our family. Donna also loved crafts, the family dogs and drives in the Kansas countryside. She will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Prairie Homestead on 1601 May Street, Wichita, where her husband Clayton currently lives. She will be laid to rest in Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery – Winfield.
