Donald L. Ross passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at St. Francis Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Don was born November 19, 1932 to Clarence Leonard and Helen (Harvey) Ross in Pittsburg, KS. He leaves behind his wife of fifty-eight and a half years, Charlene Roma Ross; six children; Mike Ross (Heather) of Wichita, Debbie Tillemans (Dennis) of Mulvane, Karen Walker-Graber (Greg) of Dallas, TX; Janet Regan (Randy) of Wichita, Jim Ross of Mulvane, Brenda Looney (Andy) of Mulvane; grandchildren, Brandi Beckstein (Jim), Josh Walker (Sara), Miranda Miller, Chris Walker (Stacy), Amber Tillemans, Shawn Regan (Breanna), Dallas Gurley, Misty Jackson (Robert), Megan McGraw (Aaron), and Ashley Gurley; 19 great-grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Sabrina Ross; and great-grandson. Don joined US Marine Corps from 1952-1955 and the served in the Korea MAG-33 in Pohang, Korea. He worked for the Boeing Company from 1956-1992, a career highlight as Quality Assurance Manager on Air Force One Program, signing the DD250 and delivering the Air Force One. Viewing: 2-4pm Sunday, Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd., Mulvane. Rosary: 5pm Sunday, July 5, 2015, St. Michael Catholic Church. 525 E. Main, Mulvane. Funeral Mass: 10am Monday, July 6, 2015, also at the church with Father David Lies officiating. Pall bearers will be Michael Ross, James Ross, Joshua Walker, Christopher Walker, Dallas Gurley and Shawn Regan. Honorary Pall bearer is Braylon Lee Ross. Burial will be in Mulvane Cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps. A memorial is established with St. Michael Catholic Church.
