Don L. Mcdonald

Don L. McDonald, 79, of Rose Hill, Kansas passed away on the 29th day of June, 2021. He is survived by his Wife of 59 years, who was the love and light of his life, Jan McDonald, as well as his children, David McDonald (Theresa), Mary McDonald Harrison (Aaron), Steve McDonald (Lori), and Debra (Beth) Lowe. His grandchildren, Ashley Whisler (Mike), Lisa McDonald (Denisa), DJ McDonald, Geoffrey Harrison, Jonathon McDonald (Shea), Steven Patrick McDonald, Emily Lowe and Chance Lowe. Don is also survived and much loved by his many great-grandchildren. Don also leaves behind his devoted dog and constant companion, Gabby.

He worked at Boeing as a machinist for many years and retired in 2000. His greatest joys were spending time with his family, puttering around his hobby farm outside Rose Hill, Kansas, going to his lake house in Missouri, playing with his dog, visiting with friends, as well as all others he met, and traveling with his beloved wife and family.

A memorial graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 9, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Independence, Kansas, 67301. A luncheon will follow at the Stich Shelter House located at Riverside Park, Independence, Kansas. 67301.
