Donald R. Frederick, age 67, of Loveland Colorado, passed away at his home on March 30, 2014. Don was born November 5, 1946 in Winfield Kansas to Richard and Phyllis Frederick. He graduated from Mulvane High School in 1964. While growing up Don could always be found helping out around the family owned grocery store. When he was 13 he was baptized at the Church of Christ in Mulvane. Don always strived to live a Christ center life. He enlisted and was proud to serve his country in the Navy, being honorably discharged in December 1971. Basic training was in Long Beach California where he met the love of his life, Lynn. They were married December 15, 1968. The pride of their life was their son Richard Frederick born July 17, 1969. Don worked for Coleman, then they moved to Loveland Colorado and he went to work for Hewlett Packard/Agilent from 1978-2003 in their test lab. He did the mechanical vibration and shock testing, utilized temperature and humidity chambers. In 2004 Don went to work for Ball Aero Space working in their test lab. Don’s hobbies included fishing, travel, photography and gardening. Don is survived by his wife Lynn, their son Rick and his sister Karen as well as numerous family, extended family, and friends. A memorial service will be held Monday April 7, 2014 at 2PM at the College Hill Church of Christ, 438 Emery Street, Mulvane, KS. 67110. Burial will be at the Mulvane cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Church of Christ. Don’s family would like to thank all their friends and family for all their generous and loving support.
