Elgin, Donald “Jack”, 80, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014. He was born October 4, 1933 to Harvey and Leavon (Anderson) Elgin in Nowata, OK. Jack worked as a district manager for mobile home transportation. He retired from Southwest Paper as a distribution manager, after which he worked for George Lay Signs, Inc. Jack was a member of the Haysville United Methodist Church. He was Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #112, Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #494, and past State Rainbow Dad of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean Elgin. Visitation: Tuesday, 5 to 8 pm. Funeral: 10 am, Wednesday, September 24, 2014; both at Smith Family Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS 67060. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Lodge #112 or Clear Path Hospice.
