84, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born June 9th, 1936 to Fred and Lena Ames in Lorraine, Kansas.
Don grew up in Fall River, KS and graduated from Fall River High School in 1954. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Don loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, CoraBelle; grandson, Matt Ames; parents, Fred and Lena Ames.
Donald is survived by his sons, Ron Ames, Todd Ames, Ken (Crystal) Ames; daughter, Jeri (Alan) Bruner; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona Brown.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at Smith Mortuary, Derby 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
