71, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was born June 8, 1949 to Calvin and Mary (Holbrook) Roop in Fairbury, Nebraska.

Delbert retired at 64 from his plumbing business, Roop Plumbing, Inc. He enjoyed his retirement riding his cutting horse and tending to his cattle. Delbert loved most of all, spending time with family, friends. and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a man loved by many and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Mary Roop; brother-in-law, Andrew Swisher; and nephew, Benjamin Roop.

Delbert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl Raye (Shearhod) Roop; children, Donald "Ryan" Roop, Lance Bradley Roop, Sr., Abbee Lee (Roop) (Kurtis) Bowman; grandchildren, Lance Bradley Roop, Jr., Brandi Lynn Roop, Baylee Raye Roop, Isaak Dwayne Bowman, Laney Mae Bowman, and Zoey Lee Bowman; siblings, James (Jan) Roop, Beverly Swisher, Calvin (Merry) Roop, Jr., Nancy Roop, Celia (Dave) Aldrich.

Visitation: Monday, October 12, 2020, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm ,with family present from 5-7 pm, at Smith Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1415 S Topeka St Wichita, Kansas 67211. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
