Debra Sue (Klotz) Kessler, age 63, died following complications from COVID on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Debbie was born May 3, 1958 to Emma Jean Klotz and Leo Klotz in Wichita, Kansas. She married Terry Kessler on June 16,1993 and settled in Belle Plaine Kansas to raise their family. Retiring from Boeing after 18 years of service. An avid gardener who enjoyed nothing more than the peaceful gardening in her yard. A ferocious Kansas Jayhawk fan who rarely missed a basketball game. Above all else she loved her children, Stacy Rodriguez and Jeremy Long, and all of her grandkids.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; Emma and Leo Klotz, brothers Ronald G Klotz and Robert Klotz; and granddaughter, Shayla Rodriguez.
At the time of her death, survivors include her husband, Terry Kessler; sisters Linda DeMott, and Leona and her brother Richard; daughter Stacy Rodriguez; her son Jermey Long and his wife Jennifer; 9 grandchildren, Jim Pope, Cody Pope, Jaden Pope, Jennifer Pope, Christopher Pope, Kaitlyn Pope, Xavier Rodriguez, Alayna Rodriguez, and Patience Long; brother and sister Jim Sr, and Deneen Pope.
Graveside services for Debbie will be held at the the New Belle Plaine Cemetery, 896 N Oliver Rd, Belle Plaine, Ks on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2 pm.
Following internment, a luncheon will be provided by the family of Debbie Klotz at the residence of Debbie and Terry Kessler, 818 Line St, Belle Plaine, Ks.
