Dean Nice

D. Dean Nice, age 74, of Wichita, was born January 13, 1941 at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Ks., to Jack & Mary (Wilson) Nice, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at Harry Hynes Hospice, St. Francis, with complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Formerly of Shawnee, Ks., Dean is preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Elizabeth (Peters) Nice, wife Wilma (Ogden) Nice, and son, John D. Nice. He is survived by daughter Lisa Nice Lumpkin (Jack Bailey), Topeka, Ks, sisters, Sharlene (Charlie) Hayes, KC, Mo., Sherrel Canterbury, Derby, Ks., and Maribeth (Bob) Enloe, Mulvane, Ks., step-sons, Mike Ogden, Overland Park, Ks., Bruce (Sue) Ogden, Gladstone, Mo., and Neil (Kim) Ogden, Avondale, Mo., 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, many nieces & nephews. A private family memorial is planned. A public visitation with family, 1:30-2:30, Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Derby Church of the Nazarene, 840 N. Woodlawn, Derby, Ks.
