Derby - Rudrow, Davida Marie (Taylor)

87, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born May 13th, 1937, to David Taylor and Effie Taylor (Bremer) in Iola, Kansas.

While working at Southwester Bell as a phone operator, her supervisor had an older brother and arranged for them to meet, this is when she met the love of her life and married for over 50 years.

Throughout their life together, they were dedicated members of Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Derby Kansas, raised and raced Greyhounds with Davida’s father, and always there for family, friends, and those in need.

Davida was a homemaker who enjoyed camping, off roading, and watching wildlife in Colorado. Her other passions were dancing with Cecil and watching sports, especially NASCAR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil T. Rudrow; parents, brothers David and Doyle, sister Delores.

Davida is survived by her sons Mikel and Mark; daughter, Lori (Joseph) Doctorman; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, September 27th, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Woodlawn United Methodist Church 431 S. Woodlawn Blvd. Derby, Kansas 67037. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Friday, September 27th, 2024, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church 431 S. Woodlawn Blvd. Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
