David is survived by his wife, Kathy Slemp; 3 children, Kathleen C. Bastin (Darin), John Slemp (Annie), and Aaron Slemp (Caitlin); 4 grandchildren, Emily Bowen (Devon), Dakota Bowman (Bretton), Lydia Slemp, and Maverick O. Slemp; brother, Larry D. Slemp (Connie); sister Shari Quick (Michael); several cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Rosary: 10:00 am, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 am, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 E. Meadowlark Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Seminarians or Lord's Diner.
