David E. “Peat” Moss, age 66, of Derby, retired Tech Sargent, US Air Force, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013. Visitation 1-8 PM Wednesday, July 10, with family receiving friends 6-8 PM, Funeral service 10 AM Thursday, both at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. David is preceded in death by his father, Dutch. Survivors include his daughters, Charla Ruiz, Derby, and Carrie Caudell (Jeff), Wichita; mother, Mildred Richards, Wichita; brother, Joe, Wichita; sister, Sharon, Wichita; grandchildren, Nikki, Tyler, Kalyne, Alise, Nadalie and Brandon; and a great-grandson, “Peanut”.
