David William Hardin, 71, of Wichita, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2020. He was born and raised by William R. Hardin and Florence E. (Fetsko) Hardin in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 25, 1949.
He is survived by his son Stephen, 2 grandchildren, Alena and Alissa, his brother Ronald R. Hardin, and sister Patricia S. (Manski) Hardin, niece Jamie Lynn (Manski) Baun.
David's life work was as a lead sheet metal mechanic on the 747 at Boeing/Spirit. He was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He volunteered at the Kansas Humane Society. He is known for his love of his family, animals, painting, sculpting, rock hounding, and trains.
He was a member of the Union Valley Bible Church in Hutchinson, KS.
SP5 Hardin served his country in the communication and calibration division of the army. He served rotating tours in Vietnam and Okinawa.
David was loved by his family and will be sorely missed.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
