David Eugene Balsters

David Balsters, age 59, died on November 20, 2020, in Wichita, KS.

He was born October 22, 1961, in Winfield, Kansas the son of Donald Balsters and Judith (David) Brockman. He was raised in Winfield/Arkansas City, Kansas and graduated from Garden City High School in 1979. He then went to Fort Hays State University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology. Later, he graduated with a Masters Degree from Baker University in Educational Administration. He taught Biology, Zoology, Microbiology, and Field Botany at Campus High School for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and observing wildlife.

On August 13, 1983, he married Tammy Feldkamp in Sylvan Grove, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Balsters; brothers, Dwayne and Donnie Balsters; and sister, Deana Balsters.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Balsters; children, Tara and her husband Jared, Amber and her husband Ryan, Brittany and her husband Jared, Tanner, and Tyler; three grandchildren, Wade, Lillian, and Cole; mother, Judith Brockman and step-mother, Linda Balsters; step-brothers Charles, Jerry, Donnie, Ronnie and step-sisters Rozelle, Janice, Carol and LaVone.

A private family Memorial service will be held.
